Lia Raquel Marques, an Angolan and Portuguese designer and artist, with a BA in Textile Design and an MA Design Products from the Royal College of Art.

Her work explores to historical and cultural facts, focusing usually on her life experiences and her homeland creating a dialogue between function and forgotten cultural narratives. Within her practice she aims to create material and descriptive language through which her objective is to rethink cultural traditions and narratives regarding artefacts.
